Pediatric Resident Burnout-Resilience Consortium Study
The PRB-RSC consists of over 40 member pediatric and medicine-pediatric training programs who are committed to committed to studying the epidemiology and developing best methods to prevent/mitigate burnout and promote resilience in pediatric residents
GOAL
The PRB-RSC will be an effective member-run organization that leads Graduate Medical Education in identifying causes of burnout and factors and activities that contribute to resident physician wellness
The PRB-RSC will provide a platform for design and testing of interventions that address burnout prevention/mitigation and resilience promotion in pediatric residents.
The Consortium will be a leading provider of evidence-based methods to develop enduring and effective physicians in all disciplines.
The Consortium, through sustained collaboration, will make important scholarly contributions about resident physician wellness and methods to develop effective and enduring physicians, created and published by Consortium members.
VISION
Resident physicians are effective in their learning and clinical care, resilient and persistent despite the vicissitudes of caring for patients, and able to sustain their efforts through connection to the joy and meaning in their profession. Their patients and society benefit from their efforts.
MISSION
The PRB-RSC provides a collaborative platform for member institutions committed to studying the epidemiology and methods to prevent/mitigate burnout and promote resilience in pediatric residents through implementation of multi-center studies that benefit pediatric residents, institutions, patients and their families through training of enduring and effective pediatricians.
